Allyson Felix

Allyson Michael Felix is an Los Angeles native born on the 18th of November, 1985. The father of her Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley as well as their mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix discovered early that she had an aptitude for running when attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. At her first attempt she was ranked within the top two places at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships for the 200 meters in a mere 10 weeks. Felix finished her high school education and was signed to an agreement for Adidas. In 2004, she enrolled in the University of Southern California, which is where she studied elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic Medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics that took place at Athens Greece. Felix set a Junior World Record by running 200 metres in 22.18 second. Felix was also the youngest winner of the 200 meters at the World Championships held in Helsinki in the year 2005. She won her medal the following year, beating her long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix took part in her first Olympics at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo consistently placing within the top three of her events.
