Allyson Felix
Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix, her father, was an ordained pastor of Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix had an early aptitude for sports when she was studying at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Felix discovered her athletic talent at that at the time. She came second at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships after only 10 weeks, after her very first tryout. In 2003, Felix was a senior in high school and signed a professional deal with the sports company Adidas and then enrolled at the University of Southern California where she completed her elementary education. A year later Felix earned her first Olympic medal during the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece setting the world junior record sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 seconds.
