Alison Doody

Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland is an actress and model. Her debut in a feature film was in a minor role in The James Bond film A View to a Kill. (1985). In the following film she played the Nazi-sympathising archaeologist Elsa Schneider (Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade 1989). There were also roles for Siobhan Dovan in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) Charlotte in Taffin (1988) as well as Rebecca Flannery in Major League II (1994). Doody was first introduced to modeling when she was approached by a professional photographer. This led to a successful professional career as a model for commercials. Doody was averse to glamour and nude modeling, which that she incorporated into her acting. In 1985, after being noticed by the directors of casting for a James Bond new film, Doody took a small part of Jenny Flex as in A View to a Kill. Doody's name was featured in John Willis Screen World Vol. 12 of the most promising new actors from 1986. 38. Doody had just turned 18 years old at the time she was cast in the role of Bond girl. She is still the youngest Bondgirl to date. A Prayer for the Dying featuring Mickey Rourke in 1987, was another early film where Doody portrayed IRA Siobhan. Doody had a non-speaking role in the 1987 TV version of The Secret Garden appearing as Archibald Craven's wife Lilias in a dream. The first time she played the lead in the 1988 episode of Jim Henson fantasy series The Storyteller in the role of Sapsorrow alongside John Hurt Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders. She first appeared in the film Taffin opposite Pierce Brosnan. Next, she portrayed Dr. Elsa Schneider as an Austrian Nazi-sympathizer and archaeologist opposite Harrison Ford. Doody is a member of the James Bond family, having played alongside Sean Connery and Jonathan Pryce in the film Indiana Jones and the Final Crusade. Doody was in the British mini-series Selling Hitler with Jonathan Pryce. The film was based on The Hitler Diaries publication scam. In Hollywood Doody moved to. She was chosen to replace Cybill Shepard in the role of L'Oreal spokesperson and then was later cast alongside Charlie Sheen as Flannery, his girlfriend and agent on the film Major League II. After nearly a decade from the screen Doody returned to acting with a small role in 2003 British comedy film The Actors with Michael Caine playing herself in an awards ceremony scene. She also appeared in 2004 alongside Patrick Swayze as a television adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. She played a role in Benjamin's Struggle, a 2005 pamphlet on the Holocaust. Doody was on Danny Dyer 2010's The Rapture. She was also to be the main character on The Asphyx remake, but that project fell through. The actress began her two seasons of the E4 comedy Beaver Falls in 2011 as Pam Jefferson. She was a part of We Still Kill the Old Way which was a film from 2014. She received the Almeria tierra de cinema award on November 21, 2018.
